Lesson 16第一課時一、教學內容1主題課文:現代奧運會(modern Olympics)2功能句型:When did people hold the first modern Olympic Games?They held them in 1896 in Athens,Greece.3詞 匯: ago, man, take part in, host, 以及Greece, the IOC ,和stop,have, hold, decide ,can的過去式。二、教學目標: (一)知識與技能目標1理解課文,了解現代奧林匹克運動會的起源,并能正確朗讀課文。2 能聽懂、會說句型When did people hold the first modern Olympic Games? 及答語They held them in 1896 in Athens, Greece。3 能聽、說、讀、寫 ago, man, take part in, host。4 認讀Greece, the IOC ,以及stop,have, hold, decide ,can的過去式。(二)過程與方法1運用情景教學法,課前出示顧拜旦的照片,讓同學猜想他是誰來激發學習興趣,導入新課。2運用情景教學法,課后讓同學表演婦女不能參加古代奧運會的痛苦到可以參加現代奧運會的喜悅的短劇,來幫助、檢測理解課文。3 運用劃分句子意群的方法來突破句子較長的難點。(三)情感態度價值目標了解奧運會,男女平等思想三、教學重、難點:1教學重點:對話的理解及熟讀了解現代奧林匹克運動會的起源,能聽懂、會說When did people hold the first modern Olympic Games? 及其答語They held them in 1896 in Athens, Greece.能認讀hold/can/read/go/send/的過去式,能使用in+年/月表示過去的事情發生的時間,并能在交流中運用.2. 教學難點對話的理解及正確朗讀使用in+年/月表示過去的事情發生的時間四、教具準備:單詞卡片、錄音機、課件等;五、教學過程:(一)Lead-in活動一:猜猜他是誰活動目標:對現代奧運有個總的概念,激發學習興趣。 實施方法及師生語言:1 出示顧拜旦的照片,簡單描述他的長相。說明他是法國人,猜他是誰.2 說明他的年齡,繼續猜。3 說明他的主要成就,猜后說出答案。T:Here is a photo of a famous person. What does he look like?S;He has white hair, moustache .T: He is a Frenchman, born in 1863, died in 1937. Who is he?ST: He worked in education, history and international sports activities. Who is he ?ST: He was the president of IOC from 1896 to 1925, who is he?ST : He designed the badge and the flag of Olympic Games. He was called the Father of Modern Olympics. Who is he?S.T : His name is Coubertin, in Chinese, 顧拜旦.設計意圖:顧拜旦是現代奧運之父,了解他有助于了解現代奧運。(二)、Presentation and Practice:活動二: 聽答活動目標:通過聽錄音,了解第一屆現代奧運會舉辦的時間地點。來源:Zxxk.Com實施方法及師生語言:1、 聽第一遍,回答第一屆現代奧運會舉辦的時間。2、 聽第二遍,回答第一屆現代奧運會舉辦的地點。設計意圖:回答簡單問題,提高聽力。T:listen once and answer: When did the people hold first modern Olympic Games ?S: In 1896.T:listen again and answer: Where did the people hold first modern Olympic Games ?S: In Athens, Greece.活動三: 閱讀回答活動目標:通過閱讀,了解現代奧運會的發展過程和特點。實施方法及師生語言:1、 讀第一遍,回答古代奧運會停辦的時間長度。2、 讀第二遍,回答現代奧運會區別古代奧運的特點。3、 推理:古代奧運會什么時候停止的?設計意圖:通過回答問題,理解課文,提高閱讀能力。T:Read the dialog first and answer: How long was the ancient Olympics closed ?S: For about 1500 years.T:Read again and answer:What are the differences between the ancient and the modern Games?S: The first one, Both men and women could take part in the modern Games. The second one, the modern Games is held in different cities every four years. T:Now,can you infer when was did the ancient Olympics stop ?S: in 396T:1896 minus 1500 is 396.
