Unit 5 The Olympic Games一、教材背景和學(xué)情分析(一)本單元的話題和相關(guān)的語言知識(shí) 本單元的話題為奧運(yùn)會(huì)(The Olympic Games),分別介紹了古代奧運(yùn)會(huì)(They began in 776BC,about 3000 years ago)、現(xiàn)代奧運(yùn)會(huì)(They held them in 1896 in Athens,Greece.)以及第29屆北京奧運(yùn)會(huì)(They won 51 gold medals,21 silver medals, and 28 bronze medals.),旨在通過以學(xué)習(xí)奧運(yùn)會(huì)的知識(shí)為載體,更近一步提高、鞏固對一般過去時(shí)的認(rèn)識(shí)與運(yùn)用。(二)相關(guān)內(nèi)容的上位知識(shí)分析以及結(jié)合上位知識(shí)分析確定的本單元的教學(xué)重;難點(diǎn)本冊書的重點(diǎn)是一般過去時(shí),學(xué)生在四年級(jí)時(shí)初步接觸過一般過去時(shí),但是并沒有深入的學(xué)習(xí)這個(gè)時(shí)態(tài)。本單元在全書中是學(xué)習(xí)一般過去時(shí)的第五個(gè)單元也是最后一個(gè)單元。本單元的教學(xué)重點(diǎn)為:1)理解課文,了解奧運(yùn)會(huì)的歷史、古代運(yùn)動(dòng)會(huì)與現(xiàn)代奧運(yùn)會(huì)的主要區(qū)別、29屆北京奧運(yùn)會(huì)的相關(guān)知識(shí),2)總結(jié)不規(guī)則動(dòng)詞的過去式(began,thought,had, held,could,sent,read,went,were,came,won,set),3)運(yùn)用所學(xué)句型來詢問或描述已發(fā)生事情的時(shí)間(3000 years ago,in 1896)、數(shù)量(How many medals did Chinese sportsmen win?)等內(nèi)容。4)在本單元還對冠詞的用法進(jìn)行了總結(jié),包括a與an的區(qū)別。本單元的教學(xué)難點(diǎn): 1)本單元涉及奧運(yùn)會(huì)及體育相關(guān)知識(shí),詞匯較難拼讀、識(shí)記(the first modern Olympic Games the,3000,1500, 1896,Athens,Greece, great success,gold/silver/bronze medals, sports festival); 語句較長(They began in 776 BC, about 3000 years ago./ And there are more events than in the modern Games than in the ancient /And the IOC decided that every four years a different city should host the Games. /They won more medals than they did at the 28th Games.)。2)不規(guī)則動(dòng)詞較多(began,thought,had, held,could,sent,read,went,were,came,won,set)(三)各單元、各課知識(shí)點(diǎn)之間的聯(lián)系、整合、鋪墊與延伸本書的前四單元已經(jīng)學(xué)習(xí)了一般過去時(shí),對于用when, where, who, what引導(dǎo)的一般過去時(shí)的特殊疑問句的結(jié)構(gòu)已基本掌握,本單元又有所拓展,新增how many引導(dǎo)的特殊疑問句,以及用ago,in表示的過去的時(shí)間狀語(three days ago,in 1896)。本單元前兩課是了解古代運(yùn)動(dòng)會(huì)(the ancient Olympic Games)與現(xiàn)代奧運(yùn)會(huì)(the modern Olympic Games),第一課得主句型為When did the ancient Olympic Games begin?
